trade came to a com late standstill, and has shown but slow signa
of recovery. In Hong Kong, English Liquidators have been appointed
to both firms, and the basinose is now carried on with these
Liquidators, but in Shanghai trede is done diroot with the Gorman
firme as formerly.
Se have examined correspondence, ledger accounts and
booke in general, but have found nothing to suggest that any trading
with the onemy has been carried on through these foreign correspon-
dents.
